How far in advance do I need to order a standard flavor, like your famous strawberry cake?

For a standard 8” size strawberry cake, we prefer 48 hours. BUT all of our stores have plenty of them freshly baked each day. Call to reserve one or simply visit one of our stores to purchase one.

How do I place an order?

There are many ways to place an order.

ONLINE: You can schedule cakes for pick-up and order many of our other products by clicking the bakery menu.

BY PHONE: You can call us at 205.987.0790.

IN STORE: You can also visit one of our stores and speak with an associate.

Are these all of the products that Edgar's offers?

No, Edgar’s online store consists of some of the most popular items Edgar’s offers in an effort to make the customer’s ordering experience more convenient.

Why is tax added to my order?

Tax is added to store pick-up orders because you are placing an order with the location that you schedule your order with. The tax rates are based on which bakery you place your order with. Think of it as calling in an order for pick-up and pre-paying for it over the phone.

Can I change my pick-up time? Can I change my pick-up date?

We kindly ask that you carefully select your pick-up date and time. However, we understand that circumstances may occur that prevent you from picking up your order at your scheduled time. If you need to change your pick-up time within the date that you originally selected, please notify us within the first 12 hours after your order has been placed by calling the location you placed the order for pick-up.

Keep in mind that we will only be able to move your pick-up date beyond your original pick-up date. We cannot accept date changes beyond the 12-hour time frame after an order has been placed because our bakeries will have begun acquiring the necessary perishables to fulfill your order. We will reach out to you as soon as we can with an update.

I made an error in my order, but I already submitted it. Can I change my order?

All online sales are final. However, we want to be as accommodating as possible, because we know that your order is important to you, just as it is for us. If you selected the wrong color, entered the wrong writing, selected the wrong flavor, etc, please call the location you placed the order for pick up as soon as you possibly can. The earlier we receive a request for change in an order, the more likely we will be able to correct it. Unfortunately, there comes a point in every order in which we are unable to make any changes, which is why we kindly ask that you carefully review your order before submitting it.

I am having technical issues with the website, how do I get assistance?

Please contact us with your contact information along with the issues you are having and we will reach out to you by phone or e-mail as quickly as we can.  For immediate assistance, please give us a call at 205-987-0790.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing.

Are you closed on holidays?

We are closed and do not allow pickups on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day.

In what quantities are your cupcakes sold?

Our cupcakes are sold individually and by the dozen, and can be mixed and matched in any way possible.

Do your cakes or products need to be refrigerated?

Some of our products that contain cream cheese must be refrigerated, like our Strawberry cake or Lemon cake. Others do not have to be refrigerated, like cakes that are covered in fondant or buttercream.

Do you deliver your products?

Yes, we would be happy to! We deliver within the Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Huntsville areas. Please contact the catering coordinator at 205.987.0790 for assistance.
