Edgar's Bakery ships nationwide through Goldbelly, and we've done it long enough to know exactly where our cakes travel. Over the past twelve months we've sent more than 8,800 orders out of our Birmingham bakery, coast to coast — everywhere from Northern California, South Florida, New Jersey, and everywhere in between. Our Signature Strawberry Cake, the one that made us Alabama's favorite, is fast becoming a national favorite as well!
Our layer cakes and cheesecakes ship frozen with dry ice in insulated packaging to allow them to stay fresh and to arrive in perfect condition. When it arrives, let it thaw on the counter and it eats the way it does standing here in the bakery. Breads, rolls, pies, bundt and pound cakes, and our gift boxes ship without dry ice — they're ready to enjoy right out of the box.

Ship a Cake!Holiday Shipping Deadlines
More than half of everything we ship in a year goes out in November and December. Thanksgiving week is our single busiest stretch of the entire year — heavier than Christmas week, heavier than anything else. Pies, Butterflake Rolls, and the Tom Turkey Cake all move at once, and we bake and ship to capacity.
What that means for you: order early. Not "early" as a gentle suggestion — our holiday specialties can sell out, and once a ship date is full, it's full. If you want a Christmas Wreath Cake on the table, the week before Christmas may be too late to schedule the arrival.
We ship Monday through Thursday so items will arrive Tuesday through Friday. Unfortunately we don't ship over the weekend outside of a few special days right before Christmas due to such high demand.
