Where are you located and what are your hours?

We have four locations:

How much lead time do you need to place an order?

We work on a 48 hour ordering system for custom orders (our products are baked to order and never frozen), but we also stock our shops daily with freshly baked products for walk in customers with last minute needs. We stock a variety of 8" cakes and we are happy to add writing while you wait to customize your gift.

May I place a pickup order online?

We are not currently accepting local orders by email, but our Customer Service Department is available from 7am to 6pm Monday through Saturday to take your order and to help with any questions that you might have. For lunch, cake, pastry and dessert orders, you may reach Customer Service at (205) 987-0790. We will coordinate pickup at the location of your choice.

If I order ahead, will my order be baked then and not be as fresh as if I were to wait?

No. You cannot order "too far ahead". When you place your order, it goes into the baking schedule for the scheduled date of pickup. (We bake to order and your product is never frozen unless it is being shipped). So, if you order a month ahead or two days ahead, your product will still go into the same baking schedule. The extra benefit of an early order is that you have reserved a place in that day's schedule and avoid the risk of being told that we are totally booked and unable to fill your order. (This is especially important during the holiday seasons).

I have a unique request. Do you do custom designs?

Absolutely! Our decorators love new challenges and excel at the unusual. Tell us what you have in mind and will be happy to give you a price quote. Just call or come by one of our locations with your ideas (Note: We do not offer ADULT rated designs).

How do I reach your individual locations? May I have their phone number?

In an effort to improve our service to both call in and walk in customers, Edgar's moved to a centralized customer service system with one phone number to handle all locations. This system offers the opportunity for customers to find whatever they might need with one phone call and allows us to swiftly check with as many locations as you would like. The customer service staff is trained in product information, availability, design, and accurate, efficient order processing. Their days are dedicated to coordinating orders for future and same day pickup. With uniquely trained personnel handling your call, we can, in the majority of cases, handle your need without the necessity of a visit just to place your order. We feel that this system gives our customers the undivided attention that they deserve both on the phone and when they visit.
